INSTALLING ImageForge PRO
------------------------------
Before you can begin using ImageForge PRO you must run the ImageForge
Setup program from Windows. To install ImageForge, follow the steps below:
1. Start Windows.
2. Follow the instructions you received from the dealer for extracting the program files. Place the files to a working directory on your hard disk.
3. You may make a backup copy of the program files onto diskettes, just in case you need to reinstall later. For backup purposes, place these files onto diskettes which have labels as follows:
"DISK 1 of 4" contains: Setup.exe Setup.1
"DISK 2 of 4" contains: Setup.2
"DISK 3 of 4" contains: Setup.3
"DISK 4 of 4" contains: Setup.4
3. Click on the Windows Start button (or open your file manager).
4. Select "Run..." from the "Start" menu or run Setup from your file manager.
5. In the "Command Line" field enter one of the following:
- If you placed the ImageForge diskette into drive
A:, type: A:\SETUP
- If you placed the ImageForge diskette into drive
B:, type: B:\SETUP
- If you downloaded ImageForge, type:
C:\DIRNAME\SETUP (Remember to replace DIRNAME with the name
of the directory where you uncompressed the ImageForge files).
6. Follow the instructions on the screen.
7. If you decide not to continue to use ImageForge, open the Windows
Control Panel and click on the Add/Remove Programs icon, then
select ImageForge from the list to remove it from your system.
NOTE: Some 3D tools rely on commonly installed .DLL files. ImageForge does not attempt to overwrite these files when you install it. If you receive an error message that these files are needed, you may simply copy the requested files from your ImageForge folder into your Windows folder, and then reboot.
